It seems the Aussies will do anything for their BEER. This Aussie bloke bet his mates 1000 dollars worth of beer that his page will succeed.

December 6, 2005 (Press Release) -- It seems the Aussies will do anything for that precious liquid called BEER. This Aussie bloke bet his mates 1000 dollars worth of beer that his page will succeed. If he loses, he forks out the dough. If he wins, his mates suffer.

So far the page has made $469 US which is almost half of the money required for the beer bet. If it progresses this way, by the bet deadline he will have made enough money to cover any outcome of the bet.

The site also includes a blog, testimonials and a pub jokes section, so if nothing else, it can be a bit of a laugh.
