December 8, 2005 (Press Release) --
Singen, December 7, 2005,
XML4Pharma, a consultancy company and provider of innovative Information Technology for use in Clinical Research, has developed technology to automatically create e-CRFs from study descriptions in CDISC ODM format. This technology enables sponsors and EDC- and e-diary vendors to create e-CRFs at much lower cost than has ever been the case.
The new technology is based on the open W3C standard for electronic forms, XForms. XForms can be deployed as well in browsers, PDAs as smartphones.
The XForms technology has now become so mature and accepted, that XML4Pharma has decided to make this technology to create e-CRFs generally available.
Sponsors, EDC and e-diary vendors, and CROs that develop their own e-CRFs, are invited to contact XML4Pharma, to discuss the use of this new technology in their own applications.
Online information about this new technology is available at www.XML4Pharma.com/XForms/ and at www.xml4pharma.com/XForms/ODM2XForms.html .
The technology is currently being updated to accomodate for the new exciting features of the upcoming ODM 1.3 standard: full internationalization and conditional appearance of questions and groups of questions in electronic forms.
More information about this ground breaking technology can be obtained from dr. Jozef Aerts, Phone: +49 7731 975044 or e-mail: Jozef.Aerts@XML4Pharma.com
