BERNIE DECASTRO ATTENDS GOVERNOR�S EX-OFFENDER TASKFORCE MEETING

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 11, 2005 -- Bernie DeCastro, GOP candidate for Governor, will attend the Governor�s Ex-Offenders Taskforce meeting in Miami on December 12, 2005. The meeting will be held at the Radisson Hotel in Downtown Miami from 9am-5pm.

The Taskforce is charged with identifying policy, structural, organizational, and practical barriers to successful reentry for ex-offenders. They also make recommendation on reforms that aide in eliminating barriers for successful reentry and measure the success of reforms. There are currently 86,000 inmates in Florida's prisons, of which over 26,000 are expected to be released within the coming year.
