December 12, 2005 (Press Release) --
With billions of Web Sites existing on the World Wide Web these days, webmasters are required to become increasingly creative and clever when it comes to making their website stand out, and capture recognition.

Since August, 2005 there has been a new breed of internet advertising that has emerged, known as Pixel Ads. The idea of Pixel Advertising is that the website owner can purchase a block of space on the provider's Web Site, where the organizations image, ad, or logo is displayed. Most of these pixel ad providers claim that the clients image will remain on the website for at least 5 years.

This creative new brand of marketing was the invention of 21 year old university student Alex Tew, who came up with idea and created MillionDollarHomepage.Com According to the Web Site, it has sold over $850,000 in ads since its creation in August of 2005. The Web Page is currently over 85% filled and has formed a kind of artistic "digital collage".

Mr. Tew had the viewer's imagination in mind when he first came up with the idea, as can be seen from his MillionDollarHomepage, August 26th blog entry;

"I thought, this could be something crazy enough to work! Because I think people like crazy/quirky ideas. If this captures people's imaginations and people check out the site, then the pixels on the homepage will have value - and people will buy them (to display their ads etc). That's the theory anyway. The way I see it though: I've got nothing to lose by trying. And I'm sure it'll be fun."

In the last few months there has already been countless copycat pixel ad sites popping up across the net. One particularly interesting Pixel site, Pixels4Earth - http://www.Pixels4Earth.Info claims that it will donate 50% of all its ad fees to environmental groups, in hopes of raising up to $500,000 for the environmental groups.

Here is a list of 5 other Pixel Ad sites offering similar services.

1. 2millionpixels.com
2. pixeldir.com
3. indiapixelpage.com
4. rentpixelads.com
5. www.pixel4jesus.com

Website owners searching for a fresh way to advertise can take a closer look at Pixel Ad providers such as Pixels4Earth.Info - http://www.Pixels4Earth.Info. Whether or not this will become the standard practice of website marketing remains to be seen.
