December 14, 2005 (Press Release) -- Womens Tall Jeans - No Longer An Oddity

Summary
Retailers everywhere are starting to carry womens tall jeans, larger shoe sizes, and other unusual items that fall outside of the apparel mainstream.

For women that are tired of relentlessly searching for jeans that fit, there is light at the end of the tunnel. More and more stores are beginning to carry those hard to find clothing items that are not within the realm of “typical” apparel. For many tall women, finding clothes that fit properly is a headache. (http://www.womenstalljeans4.com/articles/womens-tall-jeans.html has more information on this.) Likewise, short women have similar problems, as do women that are very thin or heavy. In the past, retailers would carry a standard set of sizes; if you were not a standard size 6, you were out of luck. Now, however, they have begun to realize all women are not shaped the same and have stocked their shelves accordingly.

Unfortunately, all of the major chains have not come to this realization. However, the good news is, especially in larger cities, many specialty shops are also becoming available to fill the need of these “unusual” sizes. For those that have tiny feet, the kids' department may no longer be necessary. On the same note, altering clothing right after it is purchased may also be a thing of the past.

In Tacoma, Washington, a lingerie boutique has gotten quite a bit of publicity over the fact that is caters to large women. Carrying sizes you would never find at Victoria's Secret, this shop provides sexy pieces for women that may have difficulty shopping other places. A similar shop specializes in activewear for women of all shapes and sizes. These types of stores are becoming more popular as women realize that one size does not fit all.
