Maybe David Letterman could use a little help from a Media Coach to improve his chances of getting on The Oprah Show.

San Rafael, CA – On December 1, after 16 years of tiffing, Oprah agreed to be on The Late Show with David Letterman. But Letterman isn't the winner he makes himself out to be. Letterman tried for years to get himself on The Oprah Winfrey Show--to no avail. He couldn't get Oprah to respond to his requests, and for good reason. Letterman didn't know how to pitch Oprah.

So Letterman hasn't really accomplished his goal. And now Oprah has trumped him again by accepting his invitation to be on his The Late Show--ostensibly to make up. The queen of daytime TV has succeeded in promoting her play, "The Color Purple," which opens on Broadway, while still maintaining her dignity. Can't say the same for Letterman.
