Russell Bedford network moves into East Africa with the appointment of a Kenyan accounting firm as a member.

Worldwide accounting group Russell Bedford International has expanded its coverage into East Africa by appointing Kenyan CPA firm Abdulwahid Aboo & Company as a member of its network.
Abdulwahid Aboo & Company was founded in 1980 by Abdulwahid (‘Wahid’) Aboo. It offers a comprehensive range of professional services including accounting, auditing, tax consulting and compliance, management consulting, corporate finance assistance and investment advice. Associated companies in the Aboo Group provide legal, company secretarial and insurance brokerage services.
The firm has its head office in Mombasa, Kenya’s principal port and its second city. A new office has just been opened in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. There is also a branch office in Malindi, a coastal town north of Mombasa, mainly serving clients in the tourism sector.
Wahid Aboo heads the entire Aboo Group. Mohamed Yusuf Abdulla is responsible for audit and administration in the Mombasa office. The tax and management consulting department is controlled by Nyera Sibagaya Mango. Shahida Osman heads the legal, corporate finance and investment advice department. Saima Aboo is in charge of the secretarial and compliance department, as well as audit and administration at the Nairobi office. And Zulifiquar Aboo heads audit and administration at the Malindi branch office.
With some 25 personnel, the firm has clients across a broad spectrum of industries including: transport firms, shipping companies, hotels, construction contractors, commodity importers/exporters, community organisations and NGOs.
