December 16, 2005 (Press Release) --
Yaphank, NY – December 16, 2005 – Today, Top Gun Sports & Entertainment (www.topgunse.com) announced that 2008 Presidential Contender and international businessman, Daniel Imperato (www.daniel2008.com), will join their advisory board and assist the company in completing its RFP (Request For Proposal) for its multi-use raceway project.
“This clearly puts us over the top,” stated Peter Scalise, the CEO of Top Gun Sports & Entertainment who has pooled together a group of private investors as well as a consortium of business partners to launch his $200+ million multi-use raceway venue here in Suffolk County.
“We’ve already put together an impressive group of people to see the project through, but adding someone of Mr. Imperato’s stature, caliber, knowledge, and expertise, only goes to further ensure our success,” commented Scalise in his announcement.
Imperato has been involved in major real estate development projects for the past 30 years. He’s worked with Simon Properties & Pugliese Development, Schnipp Development & Yale University Medical School, city of West Palm Beach & West Palm Beach Uptown/Downtown Development, as well as other major resort parks and entertainment projects internationally.
“Racing is a great American pastime, and being able to bring that pastime all over the country is tremendous privilege,” stated Imperato, who has already started the process of identifying future sites for Top Gun’s site plan in the Midwest and in the Southeastern part of the United States.
Imperato went on to state that he intends to help Top Gun take their blueprint and develop additional sites across the United States and across the globe.
Through Imperato and his organization, an organization with affiliates in over 70 countries around the globe, Top Gun will organize a master development team as well as financing avenues in order to allow the master development team to carry out their plans.
Top Gun has received a commitment letter from J. Petrocelli Contracting Corp to handle the construction and development. Petrocelli has been involved with major construction deals in Suffolk County, including the Long Island Ducks Stadium in Central Islip.
Currently, the county has been holding public hearings to determine how its empty 350 acre plot of land should be used.
Scalise ended his announcement with the following comments, “With everyone from the architects to the site planners in place, bringing in Daniel Imperato, with his ties in business, religion, and politics, further illustrates our strategic capacity, as well as our financial alliances in order to take the vision of Top Gun and create the reality of the Suffolk County Sports & Entertainment Complex.”
