December 20, 2005 (Press Release) --
China, heading to host the 2008 Olympics is preparing for that in several areas. First, there is growing use of CCTV video surveillance in new constructions. China and Greece have also signed MOUs on security operations for 2008 Olympics. China is committed to combat transnational crimes and build secured information mechanisms in the organization of the Olympic Games. These would conform to social stability and common interests of the two countries.
In a market research report, "Access Control Technologies and Market Forecast World Over [2007]" published by RNCOS, it is declared that China would have an annual growth rate of 26% in its security and protection industry in the next 36-45 months. China is also growing fast in its smart card market, leaving behind France and Germany. And the market research report finds that the smart cards per capita would increase to 0.66 by 2006 from 0.27 in 2001. The use of smart cards would be spread to identify authentic visiting players, administrative staff and spectators.
With this as Chinese economy grows, the country would enter the WTO with more export opportunities, although there are reservations on overseas patrons wanting to trade with China.
