December 20, 2005 (Press Release) --
Here is a little bit about us that came from an article in Experience Fullerton Magazine Puddleducks is an institution of sorts in Fullerton. If you have never been to Puddleducks, chances are you have heard of it. Joy and Heidi Miedecke are the mother-daughter team behind the classic women's boutique. Together they have created a unique blend of women's casual chic clothing, purses, shoes and accessories not found anywhere else. They have mixed in Hawaiian hand-painted beaded curtains, framed Hawaiian style art and diverse gift selection among the tiki inspired bar ware and actual tiki bars that sprinkle the eclectic space. One of a kind baby gifts fill a corner. There are numerous purse styles to choose from. You can even have a picture turned into a makeup bag or small purse in around a week!
Joy has shopped long and hard, both locally and as far away as New York so you don't have to. I walked into Puddleducks knowing that they carried Italian charm bracelets. Not owning one myself, but admiring those of others, I was not really sure how exactly to get started. have a theory. Starting a wearable art collection like a charm bracelet is one of the kindest things you can do for your loved ones. Each person has special interests and would therefore be inclined to purchase various charms for their bracelet. Each time a charm is purchased one of the blanks is removed. Save the blanks and start a whole new bracelet. Puddleducks has the largest selection of charms available in Orange County.
They have local high schools, colleges, sport teams, Disney and anything else your little heart could desire. What really drew my attention was the custom photo charms. Heidi showed me the Three bracelets she had on, all three had picture charms. One had a picture of 5 of her girlfriends. Another had a picture of her two dogs. The opportunities are endless. Grandmother Gift! Teacher Gifts! My Christmas shopping list was dwindling rapidly. Bracelets, much like wearable scrapbooks, can be created for each child or a loved vacation spot. Heidi had both a Las Vegas bracelet and a Hawaii bracelet. I was mentally shopping for my own bracelet (gifts be gone!) when Heidi directed me to the Lucy Ann Collection. As I did not yet have a charm bracelet, she wanted d to expose me to the broad scope of possibilities.
Lucy Ann is a line of sterling sliver charms that can go on bracelets, necklaces or key chains. They also make ID bracelets and baby spoons. The charms are personalized with hand stamping and therefore have a turnaround time of 21 days. For that reason, Joy and Heidi created a Lucy Ann special event on November 14th, 15th and 16th. All charms ordered during the event will arrive prior to Christmas and include Free Personalization. Can't beat that!
