This wonderful item was purchased at Sotheby’s Estate Sale of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash. It is a buckskin tunic with beaded trim, fringe and purse made by the famous Tailor to the Stars, Manuel (with label). Sotheby’s confirms that the item was worn on stage by June. The auction was September 14 - 16 2004. The item has special shipping crate and original Sotheby’s documents. Sotheby’s claimed it has “minor soiling throughout” but it is very minor if noticeable at all.
Personal Notes:
There were several buckskin dresses on auction but this was the most beautiful one. The tunic is estimated to be a size 8, but it would be considered a small 8 or closer to a 6. Since purchase it was worn once by a beautiful young aspiring country music artist that was 5’ 8’ 110 and looked perfect.
