Elk Grove attorney Jonathan Stein has released the first in a series of podcasts designed to educate consumers on insurance policies, claims and the law.
For_Immediate_Release:

December 22, 2005 (Press Release) -- Elk Grove, Calif attorney Jonathan Stein has launched a series of podcasts about the insurance claims process. The podcasts explore the ins and outs of the insurance business and try to explain the basics of complicated insurance policies and claims. The podcasts are a supplement to Stein's blog, "California Personal Injury and Insurance Blog." The local attorney brings to the project his extensive experience in the insurance industry as a former insurance adjuster, insurance defense attorney and now, in private practice, representing consumers.

The first in the series of podcasts is now available at www.personalinjurypodcasts.com. Podcasts are a new technology that allow consumers to obtain information on a variety of topics through their personal computer or MP3 player. The first episode covers the basics of auto insurance, including explaining various insurance topics. Future topics will include explaining homeowners insurance, the insurance claims process, and updates on important laws effecting insurance and personal injury cases.

With insurance being mandatory in California, this is a crucial and relevant topic that everyone needs to understand. "As an adjuster, and now as an attorney, I realized that there was a lack of understanding of the basics of insurance," Stein said. "People I talk to do not understand their own coverage. The insurance industry has not provided education on their product, so I am taking this opportunity to explain to people what they need to know."

Stein operates his law firm from Elk Grove but has clients throughout northern California amd the Central Valley. Stein represents injured consumers in personal injury cases and insurance disputes. Stein earned his law degree, with distinction, from Pacific-McGeorge School of Law. Prior to that, he earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation and his Bachelors degree in Economics from CSU-Sacramento. Stein spent over eight years as an insurance adjuster and brings that experience to the podcasts.
