Bush: America "will win the war in Iraq"
Mike Green: America cannot win the war in Iraq.
A just-released book written by a seasoned journalist claims 11 presidents have followed a pattern of intrusion in the Middle East and deceit of the American public, while conducting a covert war that eventually surfaced to gain the attention of the world on 9/11.
While the president asserts that America is winning and more sacrifices need to be made for an assured victory, he fails to define exactly what that victory will look like.
"It will look like Iran did from 1953 to 1979," says Mike Green, author of "The WHOLE truth about the U.S. War on Terror: answers to every questions you never knew to ask."
"For 26 years Iran was ruled by a puppet leader catapulted into power by the very first CIA covert operation designed to undermine the government of a soveriegn nation. During that time, the U.S. and Great Britain enjoyed complete control over the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company and its exports.
"After the Iranian Revolution in 1979, the U.S. established a cozy relationship with Saddam Hussein, helped him invade his neighbor Iran, and supported him for a decade even while knowing he had committed egregious crimes against humanity. The U.S. then double-crossed him when he invaded Kuwait.
"It was daddy Bush that played a game of global chess with a two-bit dictator and won. But the game wasn't over until the Bush (43) administration devised a propaganda campaign in the wake of 9/11 in order to galvanize the support he needed to finish the invasion of Iraq, which began in 1991. All of this was over oil, not the often-claimed purpose of 'liberating the Iraqi people.'
Mike Green is a 12-year Navy veteran, former talk radio host (San Diego's KCBQ), and award-winning columnist (www.dailytidings.com) with 10 years of experience in journalism.
Mike's new book is an historical account of the U.S. involvement in the Middle East, the enemies our government has been fighting for far longer than the American public realizes, and the truth about our continued excursions into the Muslim lands. Mike relies on documents from the CIA, NSA, presidential executive orders, national and international media reports, interviews, correspondents and even diary insertions from a former hostage to draw his conclusions. He paints a compelling picture that uncovers the numerous lies, propaganda and distortions of truth delivered to the American public by our government.
In the end, there is no doubt that the U.S. initiated the so-called War on Terror. There is no doubt that what we saw on 9/11 was NOT the beginning of a war , but rather the result of an ongoing war that had escalated to a degree unexpected by our government.
Still, there is a solution to ending the U.S. War on Terror. Mike explains it fully, as well as the desperate need to implement such a solution right away.
