Industry Veterans Announce Acquisition of EAM Resources & Formation of Turnpoint Solutions LLC
IT Consulting Provider Also Launches Utility Industry Vertical
DENVER, Jan 2, 2006 – IT Industry veteran Rick Higdon and EAM Resources, Inc. founder Tim Perman today announced the acquisition of EAM Resources by a newly formed IT Consulting company branded Turnpoint Solutions LLC.
Terms of the acquisition and financing were not made public. Turnpoint has pre-valued capital funding available and will be seeking complementary and accretive acquisitions and partner solution partnerships with ISV’s and other service providers. Rick Higdon has also been named president and CEO
Turnpoint Solutions Inc. president and CEO Rick Higdon remarked, “EAM Resources has established itself as a leading provider of business process driven IT consultancy services to some of the worlds’ marquee mining and transportation companies, and I’m excited to lead our newly combined teams towards accelerated growth.”
Our current business focus is on revenue and margin growth in core mining and transportation practices and the market launch of the utility consulting offerings in the system practice areas of enterprise asset management, customer care, and mobile workforce computing.
A former longtime executive of enterprise software provider Mincom Inc., Higdon was most recently president of the Mobility software division of Axiom Consulting that was acquired by SPL in 2005.
Tim Perman has been named EVP Consulting Operations and head of the firm’s mining and transportation practices.
Regarding the growth prospects for Turnpoint, Perman remarked, “Valued added services for our current and prospective customers will increase sharply in 2006 as we gain economies of scale and deeper subject matter and business process expertise. Our differentiation strategy is to attract the best subject matter talent, solve customer pervasive customer problems, and then manage growth to ensure customer service, value and quality remain the driving focus.”
Turnpoint also today announced the formation of a utilities industry practice to complement the mining and transportation industry practices acquired from EAM. Utility industry veteran, K.P. Reddy, who joined Turnpoint after 20 years at Southern Company and Axiom Consulting, has been named a practice manager in Turnpoint’s utility & government team that counts Gainesville Regional Utilities and Atlanta Gas Light as new customers.
Chris Dabac, formerly of EAM Resources Pty Ltd. Australia, has been named general manager of Turnpoint’s Australasia operations. Chris brings broad experience in implementing enterprise applications in some of the world’s largest organizations and will be charged with scaling the Australian operation.

Turnpoint was advised in the transaction by The McDonnell Group, Inc. whose managing director Don McDonnell was also named to Turnpoint’s board of advisors.
