The new High Temperature Sensor measures high and low temperatures such as flame profiles of a Bunsen burner down to the very low sublimation point of solid CO2 experiment.
For_Immediate_Release:

January 9, 2006 (Press Release) -- ScienceScope, one of the UK’s leading developers of datalogging equipment that provides technology-based science learning solutions, has added a High Temperature sensor to the ScienceScope range of products. The new High Temperature Sensor measures high and low temperatures such as flame profiles of a Bunsen burner down to the very low sublimation point of solid CO2 experiment.

Using ScienceScope’s High Temperature sensor that has been designed to use a type K thermocouple to measure temperature over two ranges. The design offers the benefit, with a low thermal mass probe, of measuring very small or fast changes in temperature such as the change when a gas is compressed, when used in conjunction with the volume sensor.

Students observe and measure real changes in fast or slow temperature experiments with ScienceScope's High Temperature Sensor, Datadisc and the latest Datalogger from ScienceScope, where science becomes real. As students observe and measure real phenomena, analyse their own data and draw their own inferences they can have a greater understanding of how science affects their lives and the world around them.

High Temperature Sensor Specifications:
· Recommended Recording Interval: 50µs
· Operating Temperature: -20 to 120oC and –200 and 1200 oC

Optional Accessories for the High Temperature Sensor include:
· Very Low Thermal Mass probe: –75 to 250 oC
· Standard High Temperature probe: -50 to 1000 oC
· Very Low Thermal Mass probe with syringe adapter (for use with the volume sensor range): 0 to 80 oC
