January 10, 2006 (Press Release) --
Honolulu, HI, January 9, 2006 - North American carrier hotel owners 151 Front Street West, Toronto, CRG West, telx and The Westin Building are pleased to announce a cooperative effort at the PTC 2006 28th Annual Telecommunications Conference and Exhibition: The Carrier Hotel Alliance (CHA).
The CHA is comprised of representatives from North America’s strategic network interconnection points coming together in one suite at PTC 2006. An exclusive online meeting scheduler has been created allowing global network operators to register and arrange private one-on-one meetings with representatives from each carrier hotel. This is an unprecedented resource for existing and prospective customers to explore telecommunication, colocation and data center opportunities in one location at the PTC 2006 Conference (1/15/06 - 1/18/06).
“We all share a common desire to make it easier for network operators to gain relevant insight and information in an efficient and concise manner,” says Hunter Newby, telx’s Chief Strategy Officer. “This is opposed to the common tradeshow practice of chance meetings and ineffective use of time. The CHA members take pride in operating their respective businesses with the same level of care for their customers. We look forward to working with everyone in order to improve our collective processes.”
“The concept of coordinating efforts during the PTC event seemed obvious,” adds Michael Boyle, Director of Business Development for the Westin Building. “Combining efforts will add synergy for all of our customers as well as expand the reach of the PTC attendees. In a few 15 minute meetings, companies will be able to secure facilities touching Asia, North & South America, Europe, and Africa.”
Representatives from the alliance will be available for meetings in suite 630 at the Tapa Tower of the Hilton Hawaiian Village January 15 through the conferences end, January 18. Light refreshments and hors d’ oeuvres will be served.
