16th annual Walk for the Animals to Benefit the Humane Society of Broward County

Ft. Lauderdale, FL � Join over 3,500 fellow animal lovers and dogs for a morning of fun at the Humane Society of Broward County�s �16th Annual Walk for the Animals� presented by VCA Animal Hospitals. The event, chaired by Terri Warren and Merrie Meyers-Kershaw, will take place Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Esplanade Park (in front of the Museum of Discovery & Science). Registration is 8:00 a.m. and the 1.25 mile walk begins at 10:00 a.m. Help raise money to support the shelter and its programs, while earning goodies for yourself. Last year $385,000 was raised and with your support, the walk is sure to be the biggest ever!

If you would like to participate, you�ll need a registration form so please stop by any VCA Animal Hospital, the Humane Society of Broward County, Las Olas Riverfront, any BankAtlantic location, or any Broward County IHOP or you may visit our website at www.walk4theanimals.com and print out a form.

All walkers are also encouraged to create their own fundraising web page. It�s easy to create and only takes a few minutes. You can personalize the web page with a photo and message. Once created, you can send that link to all of your friends and family and they will be able to easily make a donation by credit card towards your fundraising goal.
