An adult store manager from NJ discovers porn stars in Vegas love Peter Griffin from The Family Guy on Adult Swim and Fox while he attends the 2006 AVN Awards.

Edison, NJ-Many people say that only two things in life are certain; death and taxes. Nick Smerecki has discovered another universal certainty; porn stars love Peter! Few things can cause an adult star to smile like the sight of an 18inch tall Peter Griffin action figure.
Smerecki, the General Manager of NJ’s premiere erotic boutique, Playtime in Edison NJ, discovered the drawing power of his plastic pal when he took one with him to a private industry event in November 2005. “It was madness” says Smerecki, “normally I need to wait in line to have DVDs or photos signed, but when porn stars see my big Peter Griffin action figure they go crazy! Everybody wants to hold him and have their picture taken. It really is amazing. I wonder if Adult Swim knows porn stars are a major demographic for them?”
But why was Smerecki carrying a big Peter with him in the first place? “It was all a goof” he says “I had brought him along to be signed for a friend who is a huge Family Guy fan and the next thing I knew, bam!, the porn stars were all over me. Then actress Penny Flame said to me “I hope you’re bringing Peter to the AVN Awards this year” and I simply couldn’t say no. We don’t sell the big Peter Griffin in our store, he’s a Spencer’s exclusive, and so after I gave the signed Peter to my pal I drove to my nearest mall and picked up another one to join me on the trip to the AVN Awards in Las Vegas.”
It seems that everywhere the Playtime General Manager went; he met more fans of Peter Griffin. “I carried him with me on the plane to Vegas and the flight attendants all made a fuss over him, it was like he was a celebrity. When they served the meal they even asked me if Peter wanted anything. Walking through the airport, people pointed and waved at us. More than a few yelled “We love Family Guy!” and “Peter! You’re the best!” while giving me the thumbs up. It was a very unique experience. Then when I checked into The Wynn the staff made a fuss as well. So many people know Peter Griffin you’d think Family Guy is the only show on television. Everybody wanted to know where I got him. I must have literally told thousands of people they could buy one at Spencer’s. At this point I think Spencer’s and Mezco Toyz (who make the action figure) should send a little love my way.”
Playtime’s Webmaster, John Charles, is equally confounded; “Each month on our website, PlaytimeXXX.com we run photos of a woman shopping nude in our store. We call it The Naked Shopper. It’s a popular section of the website and gets a few hundred thousand hits a week, when we put up pictures of porn stars with Peter Griffin that we took during the November event we were getting almost three times the web traffic as before, it’s just beyond what myself or anyone here expected. To help ease web congestion we’re putting the AVN pictures up on a separate site, www.PornStarsLovePeter.com. Mezco Toyz really made a great action figure and people love porn and the Family Guy. Of course, Family Guy does have a porn connection, Jenna Jameson played herself in an episode of the show when Peter’s dog Brian became a porn director.”
