January 21, 2006 (Press Release) --
Long Island, NY - A new website aimed at raising awareness about making money on the Internet has launched in response to the current pixel-based advertising wave. Million Dollar Central, found at www.milliondollarcentral.com, concentrates on the fundamental reason for advertising - exposure to visitors looking for content.
Ralph Romero, a graphic designer and creative consultant from Long Island, NY, has designed the website in such a way that web users can easily access information on how to make money from the web after visiting the home page. The home page will feature advertisements paid for on a per-pixel basis, linking back to the advertiser's home page. "The very reason advertisers pay for ad space is for people to see their ad." Romero said. "However, people surf the web for information. There must be a reason for people to visit a website, and a good reason is to learn about ways to make money."
The website is currently selling the pixel-based advertising space for $1 per pixel. "Unlike many other pixel ad sites, there will be no limit as to how many pixels will be sold," Romero said.
In addition to the available information that can be found on the website, there is an online community forum where people can discuss Internet-based business solutions. "People can network with other members of the eCommerce community and share their ideas and experiences. It is a good way to leave a 'virtual business card' for other members to see," Romero said.
Romero plans to have the website online until at least December 30, 2010. "The idea is to have the website up as long as possible," Romero said. "The value of advertising is higher when it is bought earlier. The longer the period of time in which an ad has exposure, the less the ad seems to cost the advertiser in the long run."
