January 25, 2006 (Press Release) --
After a sell out seminar in January, CD Team, a CD and DVD duplication company based in Oxfordshire, are hosting another free seminar on the new Blu-ray technology. The event will take place on 8th February at the award winning River and Rowing Museum, Henley, Oxfordshire. The seminar will focus on what the new technology is, when it will be readily available in 2006 and how it will be integrated into duplication production systems.
The day will comprise of a welcome from CD Team followed by presentations from two key member companies of the Blu-ray Disc Association; Pioneer (recorder technology) and TDK (disc technology). This will be followed by an informal question and answer session and buffet lunch. Places are almost full so you need to get in quick before they are all snapped up. For more information on the seminar please visit: http:// www.cdteam.co.uk/blu-ray.htm
Seen as the natural successor to DVD, Blu-ray disc technology offers massive increases in storage capacity on a disc the same size as a DVD. One competing format to this is High Density DVD (HD-DVD). However, many people see HD-DVD as merely an interim solution, due to its limited capacity, and expect Blu-ray to emerge as the obvious choice for the long term.
