GPS Tech offers a product called ionKids that allows parents to keep track of their young children in public places like malls and parks by using a hand held GPS device.

The ionKids rechargeable base unit is slightly larger than a slab-styled cell phone and can monitor up to four different Wristag devices. The unit displays each of the children’s names and provides information on their distance from the base device. When the child’s distance exceeds the monitor zone, it alarms the parent and set alarms on the Wristag as well.
Pricing of the ionKids package will depend on how many Wristags will be needed. A simple base unit and one Wristag are priced at $239.95. Four Wristags and the base cost a total of $379.95.
