Delphi Academy of Los Angeles Will Hold it's Annual Open House January 29th, 2006

(Free-Press-Release.com) January 26, 2006 -- Delphi Academy will be holding its annual Open House for prospective students from kindergarten through high school, on Sunday, January 29, 2006, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Application and registration for both the regular school year and the upcoming 2006 summer session will be possible.

Celebrating thirty years as a network of schools throughout the United States, the school initially opened its Los Angeles-area campus in La Canada Flintridge in September 1984 to meet the demand from local parents for an independent day school based on the Delphi Program(TM). This La Canada Flintridge campus remained the school�s location for more than eighteen years until 2002, when it moved to its newly built campus on nine acres in the equestrian community of Lake View Terrace. The campus is located at 11341 Brainard Avenue, Lake View Terrace, conveniently located off the Foothill (210) Freeway, near the Hansen Dam Recreation Center.

In September 2005, another Delphi Academy opened in Chicago, bringing the total number in the Delphi Schools system to nine. Six of the campuses are on the West Coast: La Jolla, San Marcos, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and Santa Clara in California, along with the original boarding school campus in Sheridan, Oregon, outside of Portland. On the East Coast are the Boston, Massachussetts and Clearwater, Florida campuses.

Unique to the Delphi curriculum are the highly effective, breakthrough study methods developed by American author and educator L. Ron Hubbard. Hubbard isolated several �barriers� encountered while studying, and developed effective means to overcome those barriers so that any subject can be learned with complete comprehension and application. Now more than 600 schools and groups around the world use these study methods and are licensed by Applied Scholastic International.

Delphi Academy of Los Angeles, located in Lake View Terrace, is an independent, coeducational and non-sectarian day school offering regular school year and summer programs for kindergarten through high school students.
