January 31, 2006 (Press Release) -- How confident do you feel about your future or present career? You may want to ponder that before investing any substantial time or money.

According to a recent survey conducted by Astonishing Families International, 85% of career-interested people admit to experiencing anxiety regarding their future career. Studies have shown that such anxiety often leads directly to “career burn-out”.

Career burn-out has been defined by one expert as "unplanned job changes, dissatisfaction with job choice, lack of fulfillment, or lack of financial reward, that often occurs within five years of entering work force". At its worst career burnout has lead to unemployment, depression, damaged relationships, bankruptcy, and even homelessness.

Justin Rohner, professional life coach, says “These findings support the recent statistic that 70% of workers don't enjoy their jobs and proves that there exists a huge need to change our approach to career choice”.

The people over at Career Ignition Group recommended the following tips to avoid the typical disappointments, burn-outs, and career dead-ends that most of us experience:

6 Career Planning Tips:
1. Base decisions on contribution. What is the difference you would like to make?
2. Become committed to creating results: Positive or negative, results are great stepping stones to career success and fulfillment.
3. Seek Balance: Choose a Career that Grants You Balance. Does your current career path aid you in fulfilling all the different necessary aspects of life (not just financially, but also personally and spiritually and so forth)?
4. Don't give up on your dreams, be creative, and find a way to make them reality starting right now.
5. Know yourself. Understand what gifts and talents you have. Know yourself well enough that you don't select a career that is beneath your potential.
6. Join a Career Focus Group: find a trusted, unbiased source to aid in creating a plan designed to draw out your greatest self and make a progressive living becoming the person you would like to become. Check out www.CareerIgnition.com
