DINABEAN is a Seattle based company specializing in unique gift boxes. Dina Harvey founded the company after recognizing a need for a more modern approach to the gift basket industry.

Seattle,Wa February 8, 2006-DINABEAN uses cool and modern containers such as a shiny red metal toolbox or hand painted Chinese boxes, they are then filled with fun, useful and unique items.
DINABEAN is the brain child of Seattle resident Dina Harvey. When Dina was approached by a Mortgage Broker friend to create a better housewarming gift she knew she was up for the challenge. Always having a creative eye and a love for packaging, she diverted her time from her bustling catering business to create a new trend in gifts.
As Dina’s search for a more hip and modern approach to the bland gift basket began, Dina said ‘I started to think about what new homeowners wanted and needed, cruised to the hardware store and saw the bright red metal toolbox, I knew I was onto something’
The Dinabean Toolbox line was the result. The toolbox is filled with expensive Champagne, gourmet crackers, cookies and a cheese spread by a local favorite chef…then added to the treats are useful tools such as a hammer, extension cord, tape measure, flashlight and screwdriver. These are not your run of the mill tools, these tools are not only visually appealing, but are durable and will stand the test of time.
The Toolbox line expanded to include a BBQ Toolbox, and a line of Survival Kits, such as the Break-Up Survival Kit, Wedding Day Survival Kit, Guys Weekend Survival Kit and the Dog Lovers Survival Kit.
After much success with Toolboxes and on the heels of a trip to Beijing, China, Dina decided to incorporate a new line. You will now find everything from silk pajama’s, Jade massage tools, incense and Buddha statues to journals, and prayers beads packaged in hand painted Chinese boxes and then wrapped in silk bags. The utmost of elegance in gift giving.
