February 10, 2006 (Press Release) --
TempSys, Inc. releases the wireless temperature monitor system CheckPoint G2, a wireless temperature monitoring system to wirelessly monitor the temperature of refrigerators and freezers in hospitals, laboratories, blood banks, life science, etc. Manual temperature logging is common, but CheckPoint can now automate the temperature recording of medication and patient food refrigerators and freezers throughout a hospital, as well as the pharmacy, laboratory, blood bank, nutrition services, and any number of remote clinics. A manager can view the current and historical temperature data from any computer. Alerts are automatically emailed/text messages to cell phones or pagers, and scheduled so that different people can be alerted based on the day of the week and time of the day. CheckPoint guides the user in fully documenting the corrective action, always ready for JCAHO or DHS inspection. Reports can analyze equipment performance and identify problem units. Sensors can be placed anywhere inside a refrigerator or freezer, and with the doors tightly shut, the G2 system can wirelessly collect temperature data from an unlimited number of equipment in a facility of any size. Featuring 2-way communication and memory, the G2 sensors will never lose data even during a power outage, network or computer failure. Humidity and other values can also be monitored. CheckPoint is the first wireless temperature monitoring system adopted by the FDA and USDA laboratories, and installed in numerous hospitals, laboratories, blood banks, life science labs, as well as hotels, restaurants, food processors and cold storage distribution centers.
