February 13, 2006 (Press Release) --
FROM FASHION DESIGNER TO POP DIVA.
Alexandra-Manna Gibbs is no stranger to the media spotlight. The Italian fashion student, now completing her university studies, launched her own fashion boutique in 2002, under the name 'Fashion Moda Italia' (www.fashionmoda.co.uk). Since its creation, Fashion Moda has received both local and national publicity from BBC Radio, HTV, and the Bristol Evening Post.
Alexandra successfully lunched her latest design. Her unisex bags (pictured above), were a unique item, since they would appeal to both genders and would also be targeted at a broad spectrum of people, including business men and women, travelers, sports personalities and celebrities.
For her most recent project, Alexandra has decided to focus her attentions on the world of pop music, by writing and recording her own song. With the help of local musician, Mike Snowdon, they have produced a short two-minute recording, entitled 'Keep Your Fingers on the Pulse.'
The main purpose of the song is to raise awareness in both Alexandra's work, and of course, Italian fashion and design. The finished article is both fun and humorous, whilst clearly demonstrating Alexandra's love for fashion and her overall ambition, to become a successful designer. Although she has never considered a career in the world of pop, perhaps one should keep this space open, since this latest recording may enter the 'Top 40' and become a smash hit of 2006!.
* Please find attached to this correspondence, relevant photographs together with a demo recording of the song, 'Keep Your Fingers on the Pulse.' I look forward to your feedback in due course.
James Ewen.
