February 13, 2006 (Press Release) --
La Center, WA February 9,2006 -- The new web site directory, www.sw-wa.com, is intended as a resource for residents and visitors to explore web sites that originate or serve Vancouver Washington and the surrounding communities.
Although the site is new, there were over 1000 unique visitors to the web site in January, with most visitors finding the site by using Internet search engines to look for services in the greater Vancouver area.
Listings in the directory are free to qualifying web sites. To be considered for inclusion, web site owners are encouraged to submit their web site information through an online form found at the site. The site features over 500 local links collected from various resources. Web site owners of sites already listed in the directory are encouraged to contact the site owner to change category assignments, to alter description information, or to have your site removed.
"I love the internet and wanted to find a way to encourage its use in my own community. I am hoping people find it is a useful tool in their daily lives to find services locally." said Mary Nevius, Webie Design's owner and creator of the site. "I saw that many people were frustrated trying to find local web sites using search engines or directories that feature addresses and phone numbers."
For over 5 years, Webie Design has offered web design and development for Southwest Washington and the world wide web. Webie Design recently began offering search engine optimization services as well.
