February 18, 2006 (Press Release) -- February 18, 2006 - Today 2008 Leading Presidential Candidate Daniel Imperato received support from Former President of South Yemen, Ali Nasser Mohammed.

“It is an honor and a privilege to receive support from such a great leader, His Excellency Ali Nasser Mohammed. He is one of the finest human beings that I know, and brings tremendous wisdom to the table,” stated Imperato.

Since serving as President of South Yemen, Ali Nasser Mohammed has become the chairman of Strategic Studies for the Arab League.

Imperato felt that our administration could learn a great deal from Ali Nasser Mohammed’s knowledge of the regional politics.

“Our administration has dealt with the region by force and not by mutual respect. If the administration would listen to people like His Excellency Ali Nasser Mohammed they could learn a great deal. His Excellency not only understands the culture of the people in the region but also understands how to treat other human beings with respect, an approach that has not been utilized to date,” expressed Imperato.

Additionally, Imperato believed that the breakdown of US/Middle Eastern relations was a microcosm for America’s position around the world and that the United States needed to show more leadership.

“Our nation has damaged its relations in that part of the world, and is slowing losing ground in the global arena. We must show the Middle East and the world that we can be a light, and a leader for freedom, mutual respect, dignity, and democracy around the world,” asserted Imperato.

Once again, Imperato has reached across the lines of tradition politics and has bridged gaps between different groups, a useful quality in a future president.

“I hope that this further proves to the people of the United States of America that I am ready, willing, and able to do whatever it takes to bring peace to our nation and to the world. Thanks to His Excellency Ali Nasser Mohammed and my Middle Eastern Advisor Mr. Nasser Al Maisary, I have gained a better understanding of America’s position around the globe and how we must move forward to establish peace,” explained Imperato.
