Edwardsville police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide that occurred this morning in the 200 block of Adams Street.
A man and woman were found shot to death in the basement of the home shortly before 5 a.m. The couple had recently separated, but the pair was still married, police said.
It appears that the man shot his wife before turning the gun on himself, police said. Their names were not being released as of this morning.
