‘Fused’, ‘Mineral’, ‘Granite’ and ‘Timber’ are the themes of an exclusive new collection of laminate kitchen worktops from Egger, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of decorative surface products.
The eye-catching and hardwearing EUROFORM® 38mm thick worktops take their inspiration from both natural and industrial elements and feature the contemporary and stylish chunky ‘square edge’ profile.
The collection has been designed specifically to co-ordinate with all elements of the kitchen environment. Each décor has been selected to complement current styles for door frontals, appliances as well as modern colour trends.
The worktops within the smooth, matt textured ‘Fused’ range have been inspired by modern urban landscapes and include Light Concrete and Dark Concrete effects to offer a contemporary urban-chic style.
Worktops in colours ranging from light grey to the ever popular black make up the ‘Mineral’ range where tactile textures, crystalline forms and subtle colour variations replicate the look and feel of natural mineral stones.
The striking ‘Granite’ decors, with their infusion of quartz and “feldspars,” offer a visually stunning addition to the kitchen environment.
Each worktop is finished with a unique innovative texture called ‘Granito’ (ST82) which gives a deep, undulating sandblasted effect, to not only enhance the range’s natural look finish but also provide all the benefits of an easy to clean and maintain work top.
The timber theme features Woodstock (H2572) - a bold planked design featuring both light golden and dark brown parts and Afzelia Butcher-block (H178) - a warm, dark, planked effect making it ideal for combining with colours such as light and beige.
Alan White, Egger’s national sales manager, said: “We have very carefully considered the choice of decors in the range and structured them into a number of themes that makes it easier for the consumer.
“Our research showed that consumers often feel bewildered by too much choice and that they would appreciate a level of guidance on what kitchen frontal design or colour scheme combines most effectively with their choice of worktop.
“The use of specific textures on each worktop in this range takes the laminate worktop to the next level, where not only the visual representation looks like the real thing, but the touch and feel of it provides further authenticity.
“We are confident that this range will capture the imagination of kitchen retailers and consumers alike.”
The worktops, which conform to EN438, are finished with a hardwearing decorative laminate, which offers strong resistance to abrasion, impact, general household stains and high temperatures.
Each worktop is protected against moisture and water ingress thanks to front and rear edge seals and come with a 10-year manufacturer’s guarantee.
EGGER EUROFORM® worktops are supplied in a standard 4,100mm length, while width options include a 600mm single postformed edge, and 670mm and 920mm double postformed edges to cover kitchen appliances and breakfast bar applications.
