"Comedy Relief Benefit Not Just For Laughs"

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 22, 2006 -- "Jim Kambrich of WNYT News Channel 13 and FLY92�s �Candy and Potter� will be hosting a night of laughter to benefit Joseph's House and Shelter at their upcoming "Comedy Relief for the Homeless 2006" event, the agency announced this week. A hilarious lineup of comedians like Mike Diesel, Jim Dalaikis, Jodi Weiner, Tiny Glover, Aaron Ward and Mike Irwin with many others will be putting on a night of laughter on Saturday, May 6th beginning at 8:00pm.

The featured comedians have �club headliner� status and have thrilled audiences in comedy clubs and colleges around the country. From New York City, Washington DC, Rochester NY and the local area, this superb lineup of comedians will bring their special brand of humor to the Capital area at the historic Troy Savings Bank Music Hall in Downtown Troy. This event will help Joseph�s House and Shelter continue in their twenty-third year of helping those less fortunate in the area while bringing out hundreds for a worthy cause. This fundraiser will help Joseph's House provide services and supplies for the more than 600 individuals, families and children who are in need each year.

Tracy Neitzel, Executive Director of Joseph's House and Shelter is very excited about the event. "Although the issue of homelessness is no laughing matter, a great precedent was set years ago with the efforts of HBO and stars like Billy Crystal, Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg."
