February 24, 2006 (Press Release) --
The fire is crackling nicely. The tents are pitched. Around you the camels lie, relaxed and contented after their day's trek. You look up to see the moon come up over...the English countryside? You're not in the desert, but in Somerset, England. How very Britishly eccentric to find a camel trekking center nestled in the lush hills of the West Country. The beasts themselves are charming, graciously consenting to let you on their backs by kneeling down. They will not—like horses—shy at plastic bags and imaginary ghosts.
