February 25, 2006 (Press Release) --
Sydney, Australia -- Feburary 26, 2006 - As the internet gets larger, communities grow, often at a higher price. For many, it is hard to find the exact service or project help needed even when searching through many lists and forums. Andre Smith, a 15 year old High School student wants to change that.
Andre Smith is set to launch his new website, Lodist, which is a fusion of community and classifieds. This network has the potential to provide instant resume, job and service classifieds, a service that Andre feels is laking in the internet today.
"This is an ambitious project which I hope to launch and help people in search for services, jobs and resumes." Said Andre "This has a great potential to really reach people literally instantly."
The concept behind Lodist lies in the classifieds. Andre has worked had to create free no-nonsense classifieds with only genuine posts. The interface is easy to navigate and there is every category you can imagine. "The great thing is that you can create your own category if none of the existing ones don't fit what you are offering," said Andre "hopefully this site will capture peoples attention and become a large network which benefits everybody.
He believes classifieds these days are becoming to cluttered and unorganized. "Some of the classifieds services online are become to busy and crowded with people not noticing any of the ads" Smith said, "Some of the services are also starting to charge people for the use of their services."
This is his first attempt at a large scale community website. With any money he earns from advertising, he plans to expand Lodist. "What differs this service from other classifieds and resume posting, is the fact that users are active editors." Said Smith. "I feel that this site will give people a sense of free and communal classifieds."
