March 1, 2006 (Press Release) -- PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, September 15, 2005 — Black Box Corporation (NASDAQ:BBOX) announced today the launch of its completely redesigned Web site, blackbox.com.

The main goal of the redesign was to improve the site’s information architecture. The new site is not only easy to use but also offers expanded capabilities as well as new features.

Visitors can now quickly access over 118,000 products plus tap into Black Box’s expanded technology knowledge base.

“We looked at how our customers use the site and researched ways we could improve their Web experience,” explained Julie Lyda, Director of Marketing and Sales for Black Box. “We wanted the content on the site structured so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for.”

New features include a simplified site search, expanded views of product images plus a new customer profile section. The customer profile section, called My Black Box, is a fast and secure way for customers to check order status, account history, special pricing and more.

As always, the site includes Black Box’s famous “Talk to a Tech” link. Users just click, enter their information, and one of the experts at Black Box’s free Tech Support hotline calls back in 20 seconds or less. This feature has become so popular that Black Box created a “Talk to a Customer Service Rep” link, which works the same way.

The newly expanded technology knowledge base provides industry leading technical papers, product specs/diagrams, tutorials and white papers.

“This new site serves large and small clients equally with a wide range of service and product offerings,” says Lyda.
