March 3, 2006 (Press Release) --
John Stamatopulos of Day Trip Tours is gaining a large cult following here in New England. Skeptics say it’s a strange coincidence ; believers know it has everything to do with his years spent living in the Louisiana Bayou.
John worked as a Merchant Marine for many years. He traveled all around the world. The stories of his travels are known and retold in the smoke filled pubs from Brisbane to Ketchikan.
In the Spring of 1986 John was on board a ship that docked at the port of New Orleans. It was supposed to be a two day layover and turned into a two year stay. He met up with a beautiful Cajun woman by the name of Marie Bujeau. She was the most beautiful woman that John had ever seen and John has been in the company of many beautiful women, but that is another story.
Marie Bujeau introduced John to the Cajun lifestyle. He enjoyed his trips to the Bayou to meet Marie’s relatives. He spent many a night sitting on the front porch with Marie’s family talking about his ventures and listening to their stories about their lives and Cajun traditions.
It didn’t take long before John’s charm won over the heart of the beautiful Ms. Bujeau and a small wedding was planned for the Spring of 1988. Sometime during their engagement John was walking down by the docks on Julia St. and met up with some men that he new from his Merchant Marine days . Over drinks they spoke of their travels and their love for the sea. John went home that night realizing that he was torn between his two loves.
It was on the evening of February 15th 1988 that John made a decision that he will no doubt regret for the remainder of his life. That was the night that he walked out of Marie’s life and back on board what has become known as “ The Ship of Doom “. It was that fateful night that John learned first hand that “ Hell knows no wrath like a woman scorned “.
It was on that day that Marie Bujeau put a profound spell on John. It seems that everyone that comes in contact with John is blessed with good luck, health and fortune. John is plagued with ill health and no luck at all. He considers it a good day when he can find his shoes in the morning.
Recently John has started a company called “ Day Trip Tours “. It is a partnership between himself and his two friends, Ray and Terry. Day Trip Tours runs busses from various towns in Massachusetts to Casinos and Sporting events.
It didn’t take long before people started noticing that many of John’s customers were winning big at the casinos . People that were boarding the bus sick were returning home healthy and refreshed .
Some people say it’s a coincidence but believers know it’s the result of the spell that was cast by the love scorned heart of the beautiful Marie Bujeau.
