The Vancouver Island Regional Library (Harbourfront Branch on Commercial St., Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada) is hosting a dry book launch for FPN’s Nanaimo between Past and Future: Critical Perspectives on Growth, Planning and the New Nanaimo Centre.
The launch will be held Thursday, March 9, in the second floor meeting room, starting at 6:45pm. Doors will be open at 6:30pm for book sales and an opportunity to view display material. Coffee and cookies provided by Friends of the Library.
Formal presentations and discussion will begin at 6:45pm and conclude shortly before 8:00pm. Informal discussion (and an opportunity to buy our book) will carry on until 8:30pm.
There will be ample opportunity for questions and discussion following a series of varied and brief presentations of about 5 minutes each. The speakers include a mix of contributors to the book and invited commentators.
