March 15, 2006 (Press Release) --
Camp Wolfgang, a non profit shelter in North Texas for German Shepherds, was started by founder Wallace Swanson with a very specific mission in mind: To rescue and care for German Shepherd dogs in need, until they can be placed in loving homes.
Professional dog trainers Gayle Justice and Carla Collins are hosting a No Limitations™ dog training seminar on March 17 - 19, 2006 at Camp Wolfgang in Ennis, TX. All proceeds of this seminar will benefit the wonderful dogs at Camp Wolfgang. No Limitations Seminars provide attendees with hands-on instruction in the proper use of communicating to their dog via the remote training collar. This is an introductory hands-on seminar in which participants will learn to gain reliable, off leash results with their dog even in the most distracting environments. Dogs with any issue, of any breed, background, and temperament can expect to achieve remarkable improvement in problem behaviors in this 2-day seminar.
Most pet dog owners, dog sport competitors, and professional dog handlers have one thing in common: They want their dog to listen and happily obey when they give a command. Traditionally, training a dog to listen to you around distractions or off leash has been a daunting task. Many have tried unsuccessfully to achieve the attention of their dogs through many hours of training, an assortment of training equipment, and pounds of dog treats only to find the dog ignores their repeated commands. You may see others yelling or jerking their dear companions around in an attempt to gain control in public. So what’s a dog owner to do? Camp Wolfgang knows first hand what some of them do, that’s why they understand the importance of this training program for all dogs adopted from Camp Wolfgang.
Professional dog trainers around the country are now embracing technology to effectively communicate with dogs. Utilizing remote dog training collars is quickly gaining popularity from the average pet dog owner, rescue organizations like Camp Wolfgang, and up to the highly skilled professional trainer. “The current technology in remote training collars allows for adjustable levels and can be used to teach our dogs to perform desired behaviors in such a way that is comparable to a whisper and tapping them on the shoulder for compliance. We have the flexibility at our fingertips to communicate to our dog to listen in the presence of distractions. We’ve helped many dogs and their owners gain control of their dogs they once thought could not learn anything. Our approach is amazingly effective from dogs that are just starting out with basic manners all the way up to the out of control dogs some people think are un-trainable.” Carla Collins, Absolute Obedience.
Instructors for this seminar are Fred Hassen of Sit Means Sit, Las Vegas NV, Carla Collins, of Absolute Obedience, Lewisville TX, and Gayle Justice of Maximum K-9, Waxahachie, TX.
