March 16, 2006 (Press Release) --
With the increased reliance on computers, departmental collaboration, and information networking, today’s exceptional administrative professionals must possess more than just basic computer and communication skills. "Creating Excellence" is a training response to these newly required workplace dynamics. It includes a half-day of advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Communication skill-building sessions that promote more efficient and productive results in a quality-driven workplace. The training sessions will be followed by a networking luncheon that will celebrate the contributions of Central Ohio administrative professionals.
On Administrative Professionals Day (April 26th), managers traditionally present their valued administrative professionals with flowers, candy, or lunch. This year IAAP®-Polaris North Star chapter has designed the "Creating Excellence" training and luncheon event as a new alternative to those traditional gift-giving ideas. This event has been designed to benefit both the administrative professional and his/her employer. It offers a cost-effective option that satisfies both the employer's training and gift-giving goals.
Professionals attending the event will return to their workplaces armed with techniques that will enable them to better manage projects and more intuitively respond to PowerPoint requirements in a Webcast environment. Sessions will be led by experts from CompUSA and L & L Training Solutions. Quest Business Center, one of Columbus's premier meeting facilities, will serve as the event’s location.
Partnering with IAAP®-Polaris on the "Creating Excellence" event is Ajilon. "Ajilon is a solutions-driven company. They have significant experience in and knowledge of the administrative field; their finger is on the pulse of what is happening in the administrative field, from the perspective of both the administrative professional and the employer.
