Kaneohe, HAWAII, March 17 -/E-Wire/-- New, green fashion label Muumuu Heaven will be selling its eco-chic wares at the upcoming Kokua Festival to be held at the Shell Stadium in Waikiki. The company's skirts, tanks, tees and shopping bags, normally only available online and at select National boutiques will be available to the Earth & music-loving crowd at reduced “market stall” prices on April 22, 2006. Muumuu Heaven is happy to be helping various local, environmental charities, as well as the Kokua Foundation and is thrilled to be involved in the event.
The Kokua Festival hosted by Jack Johnson, (Fellow one percent for the planet member) brings together musicians, environmental organizations and eco-friendly businesses such as Muumuu Heaven to help promote environmental awareness in Hawaii.
The funds raised from the 3rd annual Kokua Festival will be used to further support and expand the school recycling program on Oahu.
Fun Stat: This past gift-giving holiday season U.S. consumer spending totaled roughly $435.33 billion, reports the National Retail Federation. Deciding where to spend is how individual consumers can harness their purchasing power to make a positive difference. Purchasing products and services with an eco conscious has a positive effect for everyone.
