March 21, 2006 (Press Release) --
Oleg V. Litvak, a well-known private contemporary art collector from Ukraine is now selling two of his oil painting collections. All paintings are of highest quality and are absolutely original produced by Ukraine’s outstanding modern artists appreciated throughout the world. The latest works have been inspired by the Orange Revolution in Ukraine. Mr. Litvak has been organizing several art exhibitions in Germany, Portugal, Czech Republic and USA.
The paintings are on canvas with lissivage and greasage techniques applied. “Mr. Oleg Litvak is now into internet too much, as he’s been dealing with paintings in the offline mode for the most of the time. That’s the reason why there’s no Litvak’s official website’, informed Susan Woods, Oleg Litvak’s business companion in the USA.
Oleg Litvak made his own blog though at http://www.original-oil-paintings.blogspot.com/. The blog announced the two collections owned by Litvak go now for sale. Prices start at $2,000 per piece. The most expensive one is offered for $18,000 and is called Indigo Dream. The art peculiarity of the piece is in its unique technique that the artist applied. The entire painting is done with applying a single color oil paint. The artwork has 19 layers of paint including the see-though lissivage paint.
One of the US Preferred Hotels (the name is kept in secret so far) has already initiated two-months-long negotiations with the collector. They wish to buy 60 quality artworks to decorate their luxury suites, while Oleg Litvak expected to see as many as 50.
After Litvak’s blog showed up online, it has been bombarded by thousands of visitors, while the address has not been extended. After that the collector ordered to release the information on the blog to make more people see the artworks and enjoy them.
‘I am sure that the artwork I have are interesting for many people in the world – for both appreciators of art and not. I think the world art nowadays suffers from lack of skill, while talented artists are still in shade. The world got too much dependant on PR, discounts and commercials. It may take 20 days and $2000,000 to make a dull artist outstanding. This has nothing to do with art, you know. That’s why I don’t do any promotion (neither online, nor offline) for the sake of increased sales. If I decide to sell any artwork, I’m sure buyers will instantly knock on my door. What I really want to do is to show the real quality art to the world’, Mr. Oleg Litvak said at a press-conference, Monday.
