BLACK MEN CAN FLY: The Story of George S. Lima, A film by Ken Bento and Napoleon X, showing on Saturday April 15, 11AM, Providence Public Library, Downtown Providence, Rhode Island. George S. Lima's life spans 86 years and goes from New England to the deep South and back. A Tuskegee Airman, civil rights activist, union organizer... He has faced poverty, prejudice, adversity and ignorance, and through it all, has maintained a love of life, an undying perseverance, and a quiet noble dignity. A story which makes us realize that even through the trials, tribulations, struggles and suffering, Black Men Can Fly. Showing as part of a statewide "The Roving Eye Documentary Film Festival" First annual event to take place over a one-month period at locations throughout the State of Rhode Island *Rhode Island International Film Festival 2005 selection, shown on Rhode Island PBS
