Singer/songwriter Codie Prevost was awarded the 2006 SCMA Album of the Year & Rising Star Awards

Codie Prevost Receives 2 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards!!
Album of the Year & Rising Star
Other Nominations Included: Fan’s Choice Entertainer, Male Vocalist, Single of the Year, and Song of the Year (Composer).
Codie is overwhelmed by the support of his peers and fans and is grateful to be among fellow award winners such as the Poverty Plainsmen, Jessica Robinson and Donny Parenteau.
Codie’s debut album “The Road Ahead” voted album of the year, features the singles “Not Just the Beer Talkin”, “The Road Ahead”, as well as his brand new single “He’s Not Me” being released to radio in April 2006.
“The Road Ahead” was recorded in Nashville with producer Steve Fox. It includes 12 original songs on which 11 Codie had a hand in writing along with other talented Canadian songwriters such as Tim Taylor, Steve Fox & Jay Semko.
Codie and his debut album continue to gain exposure nationally and internationally receiving radio airplay on over 105 stations in Europe and Canada.
Recently Codie has been included on a compilation cd that is being released to over 600 radio stations in the United States.
Codie Prevost is a genuine person with a down to earth perspective who’s main objective is to share his music build his career using his talents, and work at something he loves. These recent awards are an important step towards reaching that goal. Codie is currently touring small town schools, to encourage young people to pursue their goals. He has performed at a wide variety of venues from small establishments to larger events as well as opening for such artists as Charlie Major, Ronnie Prophet and The Good Brothers.
The past year has been full of achievements for Codie and “The Road Ahead” is wide and clear.
