Celebrated Photographer Jesse Kalisher�s New Book �if you find the Buddha� is in Stores this May

Kalisher�s 93 images in this new book are devoted to the ubiquity of The Buddha in everyday situations � both Eastern and Western. A foreword is contributed by noted travel writer Jeff Greenwald and following this is Kalisher�s inspiring introduction outlining his life�s journeys that lead to this unique and expressive collection of images.

The book�s title is a play on an old adage that says �If you meet the Buddha in the road, kill him.� �Of course, this chestnut doesn�t advocate murder,� Kalisher explains. �But rather, it suggests that our spiritual journey is never complete.� Kalisher�s three year journey shooting photographs for this collection ended with nearly 150 images. In selecting the 93 images for the book, it was important to Kalisher to be provocative without being unnecessarily offensive. �I sleep well knowing that I made my point without treading on others,� he says.
