The Shawangunk Wine Trail nestled between the famous Shawangunk Mountains and the majestic Hudson River, is proud to announce the addition of three wineries to the trail.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY, March 27, 2006 – The Shawangunk Wine Trail nestled between the famous Shawangunk Mountains and the majestic Hudson River, is proud to announce the addition of three wineries to the trail. Benmarl Vineyard & Winery and Glorie Farm Winery will join the trail kicking off the season with the Pasta Primo – Vino event April 22 & 23, 2006. Stoutridge Vineyards will be joining the trail beginning with the June 16th event - Around the World in 60 Miles.

Doug Glorie of Glorie Farm Winery is very excited to be part of the trail. Glorie Farm Winery started in 1979. Today Glorie Farm Winery makes a variety of small lot wines. They are hand crafted red, white and fruit wines, dry, semi dry and sweet wines. Their variety of wines represents their desire to satisfy a variety of palates.
Stoutridge Vineyards is the newest vineyard on the wine trail. They have incorporated the best of old-world tradition and modern technology into the design and construction of their winery building and production facilities. Their vineyards are planted with Riesling and Sangiovese. They expect to have their first bottling this year. Kim Wagner and her husband Steve Osborne owners of Stoutridge say they are very excited about being part of the wine trail and the local wine community.
