L. RON HUBBARD RECEIVE HONORARY HUMANITARIAN AWARD IN BRUSSELS
Humanitarian and philosopher L. Ron Hubbard has been awarded of the Honorary Award for Humanitarians, In Memoriam, the recognition of the Help The Needy Foundation. The Executive director of the Bulgarian organization, Georgi Naydenov, presented the Award to the Director of the European Human Rights Office of the Church of Scientology International.
The parchment of the Honorary Humanitarian Award includes the motivation for it: to L. Ron Hubbard - For the legacy that he left mankind through his contribution to raising moral standards and for the true value of all his work. The Award consists of a statute of a female figure playing the harp, titled Music, and is produced in one single copy by Bulgarian artist Nina Ninova.
This Award In Memoriam conferred to L. Ron Hubbard, has been given only once before. The earlier one was awarded to Exarch Stephan I for his extraordinary contribution to the salvation of 50,000 Bulgarian Jews from the Holocaust during World War II.
Although mostly known as the founder of the Scientology religion, L. Ron Hubbard has lived a life full of accomplishments which he shared with his fellow man. In testament to this legacy is the full body of his lifes work, including the more than 5,000 writings and 3,000 tape-recorded lectures on the subject of the spirit and life at large. Tens of millions of individuals whose lives have been demonstrably bettered because he lived are the living witnesses of L. Ron Hubbard contribution to Mankind. There are the more than 3 million children now reading because of L. Ron Hubbards educational discoveries; there are the millions of men and women freed from substance abuse through L. Ron Hubbards breakthroughs in drug rehabilitation; they are the more than 50 million who have been touched by his nonreligious moral code; and they are the many millions more who hold his work to be the spiritual cornerstone of their lives.
We are truly honored to accept this award on behalf of Mr. Hubbard and sincerely thank the Help The Needy Foundation for it, said Fabio Amicarelli, Director of the European Human Rights Office of the Church of Scientology International. As Mr. Hubbard said My own philosophy is that one should share what wisdom he has, one should help others to help themselves. I look forward to a positive cooperation with the Foundation in the future, to help making human rights a reality in Bulgarian and the rest of Europe to make the postulate of L. Ron Hubbard a reality.
