Oplayo, the leading mobile video specialist, today announced the launch of its OMMS (Oplayo Managed Media Service) mobile video service via its new partner Wap Oneline USA. The service rollout starting in USA during CTIA spring 2006 includes USA, Puerto Rico, Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Paraguay, Bolivia and Columbia.
The new mobile video service will be available thru different Off-Portal websites and carriers in the region, e.g. via http://www.MyCoolMobile.com, http://MiCoolMovil.com and http://www.Movil.com.co.
Wap Oneline USA & Oplayo have built during the last months a connection between Oplayo’s video content hosting ASP solution and Wap Oneline’s Mobilenator content management, billing and storefront solution in order to serve end users via different Premium SMS tariffs.
Oplayo has currently over 3,000 video clips in its library and serves those in 21 so-called profiles. The profiles consist of short, medium and longer versions of 3GPP and various Java video formats (vidlets). Through this combination of industry standards and state of the art technologies service providers are able to reach over a billion handsets worldwide.
