April 4, 2006 (Press Release) --
London, Wimbledon, April, 2006. Interactive Selection, the market leader for recruitment working only in computer games and interactive entertainment has strengthened its European workforce with 2 heavyweight new recruits, Tom Champion and Cal Jones. This comes at a time of immense growth for the company which has offices in Sydney, Australia and associated offices in California and Wisconsin – all founded on its ‘word of mouth’ reputation.
Tom Champion joins from games recruiter Probe Games where he was responsible for placing artists, animators and game designers for nearly 2 years. A graduate from Bristol Business School and a lifelong gamer, he joined Probe after working in data analysis at Airbus UK.
Cal Jones brings 10 years knowledge of games to Interactive Selection as a former journalist working at EMAP Images, Ziff-Davies UK, Gameplay and most recently Jolt. Working in both the online and print space, she has exceptional experience managing PR, news, reviews and freelance teams.
David Smith MD of Interactive Section, said: “We are doubling our team of consultants in response to massive worldwide demand. The UK recruitment industry leads the world at finding international talent and I am determined to keep Interactive Selection at the vanguard of this global business. Tom and Cal join to help manage our publisher and developer clients who are looking to work with one agency to help fulfill intercontinental staffing demands. Reputation alone does not deliver results and we needed and still need significant additional resource to maintain the high level of service we offer.”
