France Cruises and Beaux Voyages have joined forces to create a unique Barge and Bike tour in two of the most popular regions of France, Burgundy and the Loire.
"Bikes have always been available on France barge cruises, but we were looking to provide something more", states Jean-Francois Dabrowski of France Cruises. "Guests typically rode along the side of the bank and didn't wander too far into the countryside for fear of getting lost. Some people want to be more active, and by teaming up with an experienced France bike tour company like Beaux Voyages, we can offer guided bike tours to our guests".
Says Walt Ballenberger of Beaux Voyages, "We'll have two sorts of guided biking possibilities available in two of the most beautiful and popular regions of France. In Burgundy we'll offer guests guided tours from the barge. Instead of taking a van to the various excursions and wine tastings planned, guests can choose to cycle there to enjoy the French countryside up-close, and they can also work off a few calories from the fabulous meals prepared by the chef on-board the vessel".
