Tempe, Arizona-based aerial imagery and GIS mapping applications provider Aerials Express announces the availability of over 50,000 square miles of seamless 2006 aerial imagery of all Florida metros and coastline. The new imagery is ortho-rectified and delivered at a resolution of 1.5 feet per pixel.
“We greatly expanded our coverage of Florida in 2006,” states Aerials Express CEO Bill Landis. “Our exclusive imagery spans from Mobile, Alabama to Miami, Jacksonville to Naples. The 2006 Florida imagery is a big addition to our “Every City Every Year” campaign that already includes the metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Las Vegas, Norfolk, Richmond, and Washington DC. We will be announcing the availability of 1 foot Southern California and 1.5 foot Northern California photography shortly as well as three other major population centers.”
The 2006 Florida imagery is available to view and download from the Aerials Express web site or can be used with all leading GIS applications. The desktop imagery comes with AEView, Aerials Express’ powerful mapping/GIS software at no charge, along with street data, elevation contours, flood plains and parcel data.
