BMLA condemns false propaganda by Bangladesh main opposition against US citizen.

Bangladesh Minority Lawyers Association (BMLA) has issue a statement condemning the false propaganda by Bangladesh Awami League (BAL), which was carried by several newspapers in Bangladesh saying, eminent US columnist and peace activist Dr. Richard L. Benkin is one of the lobbyists working for Bangladesh government on monthly retainer basis.
The BMLA statement signed by the Barrister Nikhilesh Dutta, Chief Advisor, National Executive Committee, former ambassador and Chairman of the organization Advocate Cyril Sikder and Secretary General Advocate S.N. Goswami said, Dr. Richard Benkin is a member of advisor board of the organization, who is working tirelessly for protection of minority rights in Bangladesh. Vested quarters circulated the false information with some fabricated documents saying Dr. Benkin is a lobbyist for Bangladesh government since October last year.
Quoting Richard L. Benkin, BMLA said, he has also denied the allegation and said that just last week Bangladesh authorities rejected his visa application.
BMLA is the apex organization of minority lawyers in Bangladesh, which is working for the protection of minority rights and human rights.
